Chandigah, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, braved cold weather at 6.9 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal, an official of the Meteorological department said here.
Among other places in Haryana, Ambala, Hisar and Karnal experienced cold weather at 8.6, 5.4 and 5.5 degrees Celsius respectively.
Narnaul, Bhiwani and Rohtak recorded their minimum temperatures at 5, 5.8 and 7 degrees Celsius respectively.
In Punjab, Amritsar settled with a low of 4.6 degrees Celsius, while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded their minimum temperatures at 7.7 and 9.1 degrees Celsius respectively, up to three degrees above normal.
The MeT department official said the weather was clear in most parts of Punjab and Haryana.
