Colgate appoints Issam Bachaalani as MD with effect from Oct 1

In a top level management change, FMCG major Colgate Palmolive India today appointed Issam Bachaalani as the Managing Director (MD) of the company for a period of five years with effect from October 1.
Bachaalani will replace Prabha Parameswaran, the current MD, who has been promoted and appointed as the President Africa, Eurasia Division and will relocate to Switzerland, Colgate Palmolive India Ltd said in a filing to the BSE.
"Consequently, Prabha Parameswaran will cease to be the Managing Director of Colgate Palmolive India Ltd with effect from October 1," it added.
Parameswaran will assume the new responsibility of Colgate's vast and diverse Africa, Eurasia region effective October 1, 2014, the company said.

Colgate-Palmolive is present in the segments of oral care, personal care, home care and professional oral care.
