College dropout held with 30gm charas

A youth was arrested from near the campus of a private university here with 30gm charas seized from his possession, police said.
The youth hailing from Jammu and Kashmir is a resident of the upscale Gogji Bagh area here, said Phagwara SP, Gursevak Singh Brar.
Brar said that along with the charas, 100gm of some suspicious powdery substance was recovered from the youth.
The youth was arrested on Maheru Road near a gate of Lovely Professional University during patrolling by a police team, added Brar.
"The accused was an LPU dropout and a drug addict who also supplied intoxicants to students," police said, adding that the youth has been booked under provisions of NDPS Act.
