"The college management lodged an FIR against some of its students belonging to Kashmir, accusing them of ransacking the college furniture yesterday," Deputy Superintendent of Police Heeralal Ravi told reporters here.
He said that on Wednesday the students of Vananchal Dental College at Garhwa lodged a FIR accusing the management of fraud and assaulting some girl students.
Ravi said the students' FIR accused the management of expelling male and female students on Wednesday and asking them to vacate the hostel for failing to deposit tuition and hostel fees.
They said they had taken admission after depositing between Rs 75,000 and Rs 1.5 lakh each.
The students later blocked the NH-75 near the college at Majheon More on the outskirts of Garhwa town, demanding arrest of a senior management official, the police officer said.
