Principal of Janki Devi Bajaj (JDB) Girls College, Hari Singh Meena found the letter in letter box of the college with threat of dire consequences if the terrorists arrested from Jaipur, Jodhpur and Sikar districts were not released.
SP, Kota city, also received a similar letter on Monday, following which high alert was sounded and security measures beefed up across the district and surrounding areas.
As per initial inquiry, the letter to JDB college was found to be posted on the same date as the first letter - March 28, investigating officer and ASP, Rajan Dushyan said and confirmed "the content of both the letters was the same".
High security arrangements have been made to avoid any untoward incidents with extra police force at key points in the city including Railway station, bus stand, government schools, colleges and coaching institutions and CCTV cameras were also installed at the same points.
The district collector has issued an order asking paying guest house owners and landlords in the city to inform the police about visitors and tenants, Rajan said.
The threat letters are being investigated very minutely but no clue of the sender of the letters has surfaced so far, he said.
Five suspected IM terrorists were recently arrested from Rajasthan.
Zia Ur Rehman alias Waqas, a Pakistani national wanted in connection with several bombings, was arrested outside Ajmer Railway Station on March 22.
Later, Addas (22) was arrested from Sikar on March 30.
