College student dies after falling from train

A college student died here today after falling from a running local train, railway police said.
The 19-year-old victim, Pankaj Kadam, a resident of Thane city and student of Dyansadhana College fell down from a running local today, PSI DB Kamthe of Thane Railway police said.
The incident took place around 2.40 pm between Kopri bridge and Thane railway station. The victim, who suffered critical head injuries due to the fall, was rushed to Thane civil hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
A case of accidental death was registered and further probe is on, police.
