The incident occurred yesterday at around 2.30 pm at Kherwadi area when the victim along with two other girls was walking back home after college lectures, police said.
Suddenly a two-wheeler which was passing on the road stopped near the girls and the pillion rider molested the girl and fled away, police said.
After the incident the victim started crying, they said.
The Kherwadi police rushed to the spot after getting the information about the incident, the official said.
"Police have registered a case of molestation and relevant sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO)", Rajendra Patil, Senior Police Inspector of Kherwadi said.
