Committee set up to address complaints

A three-member committee has been constituted here to address complaints and grievances arising out of conduct of election flying squads and static surveillance teams.
The committee, comprises Deputy District Election Officer, the Nodal Officer and Treasury Officer of the Directorate of Accounts and Treasuries, a release said.
A release said the committee can be contacted over phone by those facing grievances as a result of seizure of cash or articles on suspicion by the squads and the police personnel.
District Election Officer of Puducherry has constituted the committee which would look into representations, particularly where cash or articles seized were not linked with any candidate, political party or any poll related campaigns.
