At a meeting with MLAs from Kangra, Chamba, Lahaul and Spiti, Kinnaur, Una and Hamirpur districts to elicit their priorities for development schemes to be incorporated in the 2018-19 state budget, he said regular monitoring of schemes was required to be done in implementation stage.
Thakur said work should not be given to such contractors who compromise on quality and delay projects, and stressed that funds allocated in the budget should be completely utilised before the end of the financial year.
"We have adopted 'Drishti Patra' (Vision Document) of the BJP as an official document and we need to work on the targets and policy framework to achieve overall development well in time," Thakur said.
