CII Rajasthan state council and EXIM Bank of India are jointly organising the conference in the city, which has emerged as a hub of wooden artistic handicrafts and furniture.
"The handicrafts export industry of Jodhpur, with a size of Rs 1,500 crore annual turnover, has virtually become the power house to sustain the economy of the state in general and the region in particular... Also generating employment to millions of people directly and indirectly," Anand Singhal, Chairman, CII Rajasthan State Council said.
The objective of the conference would be to bring together all the stakeholders including policy makers, industry representatives, banks and financial institutions and academicians to meet and exchange ideas / views with a sole aim of growth in the export business, he said.
The conference will be inaugurated by Kailash Meghwal, Speaker of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly.
