The party claimed that the hunger strike was called as the authorities accepted their demands. They also postponed tomorrow's 'gherao' programme of Phagwara ADC office.
The fast was to demand issuance of roll numbers to SC/BC/OBC college students covered under Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme.
Addressing party workers 'victory' rally on this occasion, Raj Kumar assured dalit students that on coming to power in 2017, Congress party would solve their problem permanently by ensuring release of regular funds under the Scheme.
