Cong biggest enemy of Punjab: Sukhbir

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal today lashed out at opposition Congress terming the party as the state's "biggest enemy".
The Congress-led UPA has been badly exposed in Punjab as well as in the country and instead of accepting defeat with grace, it is bent on ruining the country, he said.
Addressing a gathering in the district, he said Congress knows it is on the verge of being thrown out by the people and their days in power are numbered.
The UPA government has been branded as "anti-people" and has virtually lost every right to serve the nation.

Sukhbir laid the foundation stone of Rs 219.56 crore development projects in Bathinda, including construction of a Sudhar Ghar at a cost of Rs 196 crore.
Reacting to Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda's recent statement expressing claims over Chandigarh, he reiterated that Chandigarh was an integral part of Punjab and would always remain so.
On the Centre's directive to remove Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal's pictures from partly centrally-funded ambulances running in the state, he dismissed the controversy saying it only showed the UPA government's hollowness.
"It was unfortunate the government has threatened to stop grants meant for people of Punjab under the National Rural Health Mission if we do not toe their line," he said.
