Cong leader sentenced to lifer in 20 year old murder case

A local Congress leader Ajay Tiwari was today sentenced life imprisonment by a court in Bihar's Nawada district in a murder case 20 years ago.
The Fast Track Court-III judge Vimal Kumar Singh passed the order sentencing the 80 year-old Congress leader to lifer after finding him guilty in the murder of a person named Pawan Singh.
According to the prosecution, Singh was shot dead in village Aphsar on October 15, 1993 in which Tiwari was named as the prime accused by the victim's family.
He was arrested soon after conviction and sent to jail.
