Congress leaders in Himachal Pradesh are levelling the baseless charge of inexperience against Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur to divert attention of the people from their own infighting, a senior BJP leader said today.
Speaking to reporters on the occassion of completion of six months of the Jai Ram Thakur government, state BJP chief spokesperson Randhir Sharma said bike-ambulances had been introduced by the present dispensation to benefit people in remote areas.
Heli-ambulances would soon be launched for patients in remote areas, he added.
Sharma said the state budget had been increased by 8 per cent for carrying out more development works and 30 new projects had been initiated.
He said 113 new places were identified to be developed as tourist spots to ease the rush of tourists at traditional hill stations.
Sharma alleged former chief minister Virbhadra Singh, leader of opposition in state Assembly Mukesh Agnihotri and state Congress chief Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu were levelling a baseless allegations of Thakur being an inexperienced CM just to divert attention from their infighting and also from the achievements of BJP government.
Asked about the killing of Assistant Town Planner Shail Bala Sharma in Kasauli and the unprecedented water scarcity in Shimla, he claimed that prompt action had been taken against negligent police officials in the Kasauli incident while the chief minister himself took stock of situation and the water shortage situation brought under control within a week after "initial mismanagement".
