Congress leader Dhirendra Singh and District President of Youth Congress Deepak Bhati Chotiwala alongwith other party workers were detained by police and taken to Surajpur police line.
"Congress had planned to give a memorandum of demands of the farmers to the Prime Minister and also show black flags to him for anti-farmers policies of the NDA government.
"Today, as we proceeded police teams stopped us near Pari Chowk. PAC was deployed by district administration to prevent us to reach the PM's event site in Noida. Farmers then sat on roadthere and shouted anti-Modi slogans," said Singh.
