"We are demanding a CBI probe into the Saradha scam. Since the scam had occurred in other states as well, only a CBI probe would help in unearthing the truth," Congress MLA Manas Bhuniya told reporters in the state Assembly here.
Asked about his comment on the arrest of Ghosh, he said "We are watching the situation. The ball has started to roll now".
Ghosh, who was arrested on November 23, that evening in a Facebook post termed his arrest as a "conspiracy" and said the police should take the help of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and two other Trinamool Congress leaders to find the truth behind the case.
