In the letter, the MLA from Pindra seat here, has also urged the Prime Minister to mention former PM Manmohan Singh's and UPA president Sonia Gandhi's name in his speech tomorrow for their specific role in establishing Banaras Hindu University's trauma centre that he will inaugurate tomorrow.
Rai had unsuccessfully contested the Lok Sabha elections againt the Prime Minister.
Rai said that he had given request applications more than three times in local parliamentary office of the Prime Minister here at Ravindrapuri area, seeking appointment to apprise him on the issues related development of the city.
Among other issues penned in the letter, Rai demanded that cases lodged against people of Kirahia locality, who were arrested by police a few months ago for protesting in front of the PM's parliamentary office demanding proper water supply in their area, be withdrawn.
Almost five persons were put in police lock up for a night and produced the next morning in the local court of ACJM here, where they were released on bail.
Rai alleged, "Union textile minister Santosh Gangwar, who had earlier announced setting up of a textile park in Varanasi, has now withdrawn citing unavailability of land here and now this textile park will be now set up in Bareilly."
