Rao, who met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, in a memorandum, said that TDP MLA Revanth Reddy was caught by Anti Corruption Bureau while giving Rs 50 lakh to nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson promising to pay Rs 4.5 crore more later for Stephenson's vote in favour of TDP-BJP candidate in the MLC elections held on June 1.
He also said that the Telangana Home Minister told media that they have evidence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's involvement in this case, although the latter had accused his Telangana counterpart K Chandrashekar Rao of poaching TDP MLAs during MLC elections.
"I hope you will do justice to the public by ordering for a CBI inquiry on this Note for Vote incident," Rao said.
Later, he claimed that Union Home Minister conveyed to him that the issue has been entrusted with the Telangana Governor.
