"This day has a great importance in the history of India as numerous freedom fighters sacrificed their lives for the sake of freedom of India. We should learn a lot from the sacrifices made and the sufferings faced by those martyrs in the sense that the Indians should be ever ready to make sacrifices when some one dares to challenge the national unity and integration of Great India," said a statement issued by the party here.
On this occasion, several PPCC leaders, including General Secretary Major Singh Bhaini, Jagtar Singh Burj, Jang Bahadur Singh, Gursharan Singh Riar were present.
Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal also paid tributes to the legendary martyr today.
