Amid the patidar protests in Gujarat, quota row in Haryana and tension in the Kashmir valley, Congress today projected a picture of "anarchy" under the Narendra Modi dispensation, which it also dubbed as "intolerant".
Party General Secretary Shakeel Ahmed told reporters that the way internet and mobile services are affected in parts of Gujarat in the wake of the state-wide bandh call given by the Patel community in Gujarat showed the BJP government there in poor light.
He also "faulted" the Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel for "failing" to talk to the Patel community leaders to sort out the issue. He was also critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was earlier the Chief Minister of the state, in the matter.
On the quota row in Haryana, he said that a BJP MP is making "provocative" statements but no action is being taken against him either by the Centre or the BJP government in the state.
He said that the NIT students agitation in Kashmir speaks volumes of the governance of the PDP-BJP government as majority of the students have left the valley.
Frowning upon the "manufactured debate" on nationalism, he said the JNU row in Delhi showed the "intolerant" character of the Modi dispensation which does not like any dissenting voice.
