The Zoram Nationalist Party (ZNP) and the BJP secured majority in one village council each while Independents bagged 6 village councils with no political party securing majority in seven villages.
In the local council polls within the AMC, the Congress won 39 local councils and the MNF 38 local councils while the MNF, ZNP and Mizoram People's Conference (MPC) combine bagged one local council each.
Independent candidates secured one local council while there were no majority in seven local councils.
Sources in the State Election Commission said that detailed results could be expected by tomorrow as many counting centres were in remote areas.
