Congress party today staged a walkout from the Assembly for not getting a "favourable" reply from the government on constituting a House Committee to look into the alleged irregularities in the execution of Mission Bhagiratha project.
Speaking in the House, Congress member Komatireddy Venkat Reddy accused that TRS leaders have colluded with contractors and receiving kickbacks in the project.
Komatireddy said he had already complained to vigilance commission and CBI on the alleged irregularities in the project execution.
"There is no question of leaving you on this issue. I will explore all the legal options to expose corruption in Mission Bhagiratha," the Congress member said.
Reddy dared the treasury benches to constitute House Committee.
Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao, while refuting Congress' charges, said the state government was adopting transparent methods in awarding contracts and willing to face any inquiry.
"When you ( Komatireddy) have decided to approach CBI, vigilance, courts etc, where is the need for House Committee. We are ready to face any kind of inquiry. We have not committed any mistake," KTR countered.
Thereafter, the Congress legislators staged a walkout from the Assembly for not getting a favourable
During the Question Hour earlier in the day, Etela Rajender, Minister for Finance and Civil Supplies, said the government is all set to install electronic point of sale (ePos) machines in about 16,000 fair price shops across the state by June this year.
"ePos (computerisation) is being presently implemented in 1545 Fair price Shops in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area. The Government has decided to roll out the epos in all the remaining 16000 fair Price Shops in the State.
"The tenders have been finalised and selected the system integrator. The entire process is expected to be completed by June 2017," Ranjender said in written reply in the Assembly today.
To another query, Minister for Animal Husbandry T Srinivas Yadav said the State Government is in the process of plying 100 mobile veterinary clinics across the state to provide medical facility to live stock.
Yadav also said that the department is mulling to set up a call centre to cater to the farmers engaged in animal husbandry.
