City Congress chief Narendra Rawat has demanded that Election Commission should order stoppage of shooting of the Gujarat Tourism Department's advertising campaign at Champaner, involving actor Amitabh Bachchan.
The shooting for 'Khushboo Gujarat Ki' campaign is scheduled from March 10 to March 12 at Champaner, 30 km from here.
Rawat said he had written to both Chief Electoral Officer of the state Anita Karwal and the Chief Election Commissioner V S Sampath in this regard, as the campaign promotes the Narendra Modi government.
It would violate the model code of conduct, he alleged.
