Chief Minister Mukul Sagma said the party has decided to make corruption its agenda for the general elections.
Sangma was talking to reporters after a closed-door party meeting to review its preparedness for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
The Chief Minister claimed that a number of legislations including RTI have been taken up by the Congress towards tackling corruption and his government has already passed the Lokayukta Act.
Sangma further informed that to ensure efficient and effective delivery systems his government was coming up with the Social Audit Act which is in the final stage of drafting.
He, meanwhile, claimed that the Congress, apart from winning both the seats in the state, would win ten seats in Assam, two each in Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh and one in Manipur.
