Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today claimed Congress has become weak in Uttarakhand and its leaders were "fed up" with policies of the state's ruling dispensation.
"Congress in Uttarakhand has taken shape of a shattered entity and become a Khand-Khand (split) Party. It was evident the ruling dispensation might be razed to ground since its members are fed up with the policies of its leadership," the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs said.
Naqvi lashed out at ruling Samajwadi party in Uttar Pradesh saying the "atrocities" committed against people by it will pave the way for BJP's win in 2017 Assembly election.
"Now even the repentance of the atrocities committed against innocent populace during four-year-rule of Samajwadi Party in UP is neither possible nor acceptable as the present dispensation has emerged as symbol of corruption and unhindered loot. It will pave the way for BJP's return to power with a thumping majority," Naqvi said.
"Their boasts regarding development are hollow," Naqvi said.
He said the Narendra Modi-led NDA government will present detailed accounts of expenditure during its tenure ahead of the 2019 general election.
