Congress leader Mohan Nag passes away

Senior Congress leader and former Odisha minister Mohan Nag died at a private hospital here, family sources said today.
Nag, 89, who was undergoing treatment at the hospital passed away yesterday, they said.
A prominent dalit leader from Bargarh district, Nag was a minister during 1989-1990 and 1998-2000 and had represented Bhatli and Bijepur constituencies in the state assembly.
A host of distinghished persons including Assam Governor and former Odisha chief minister J B Patnaik, OPCC president Jayadev Jena and former OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik have condoled his death.
The leaders said Nag's death has caused an irreparable loss to the underprivileged and downtrodden for whom he fought till his death.
