Kannan said in a release today that the BJP sharing power with PDP in Kashmir now should come clean to clarify its stand on the release of the Hurriyat leader.
The BJP was airing strong views and comments in the past against terrorism and militancy. The party should clarify its stand in the issue now, he said.
He said that the action taken by the Jammu and Kashmir government was not acceptable as terrorists had been released as a matter of routine arrangement though the release of the terrorist was replete with serious implications.
He also said that the controversial remark by the Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe that Indian fishermen would be shot if they were found intruding into the Sri Lankan waters "also deserved to be condemned strongly".
