Madhya Pradesh state Congress general secretary and MLA Jeetu Patwari, Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress president Kunal Choudhry and former MLA Harshwardhan Dattigaon, among others, staged a protest before Badnawar police station, demanding that the police register the statement of the deceased's son.
Dhar District Collector Jaishri Kiyawat ordered a magisterial probe into the incident after the teacher took the extreme step after returning from school yesterday.
Instead of returning to his residence, he went to a farm at Teekhi village and consumed some poison, his family members said.
A suicide note carrying his signature also went viral on a social networking site alleging that since the Madhya Pradesh government had not increased his salary, he had consumed poison.
