The constable, Jagdish Vishnoi (35), posted in police lines, Baran, was yesterday arrested from Babjinagar area.
He was today produced before a local court which sent him to police remand, the police said.
During preliminary investigation, the constable admitted to have purchased poppy husk and heroin from one Rajaram Meena of Banjari village in the district, the police said.
The consignment was to be smuggled to Jodhpur for sale, they said.
