No suicide note was recovered from the victim Ahana's possession, but marital discord is suspected to be the reason for her taking the extreme step, police said.
Her mother noticed her hanging from a ceiling fan around 11 am. She informed her husband and they rushed her to a hospital in Bawana.
Police were informed about the incident by the hospital in Bawana where Ahana was taken by her family after they found her hanging. The police team that reached the spot later learnt that Ahana's father is a constable.
Police said Ahana's in-laws will be questioned to ascertain the reasons behind her suicide.
A Sub-divisional Magistrate will probe the case as per Section 176 of the CrPC under which such an enquiry is conducted when a woman married for less than seven years commits suicide.
