Constable Surinder Kumar, who is also Personal Security Officer (PSO) of BJP MLA from RS Pura Assembly constituency Dr Gagan Bhagat, was suspended yesterday for firing during a marriage ceremony on Wednesday night, a senior police officer said.
"After it came to our notice that the police constable fired in air from his service rifle during a marriage celebration, we placed him under suspension and ordered a departmental enquiry into the entire episode, said SSP Jammu, Uttam Chand.
