The company's net profit in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal was Rs 261.88 crore.
The total income from operations in the latest the quarter increased to Rs 1,420.85 crore, from Rs 1,269.67 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a statement.
The total expenses increased to Rs 1,223.66 crore, over Rs 1,020.54 crore in the year-ago period.
The shares of the company closed at Rs 1748.80 a piece on BSE, down 2.26 per cent from the previous close.
