On a tip off, police arrested Sonu Shah from Lohchi village under Bariarpur police station, Superintendent of Police Ashish Bharti said.
Shah was wanted in eight cases of murder, arms act violation etc in various police stations of Bhagalpur and Munger districts.
Shah confessed before the police and mediapersons that he used to kill property dealers and politicians for money.
He said he was working for Uttar Pradesh's muscleman Mukhtar Ansari and Atique Ahmad who are currently lodged in Agra jail.
