Convict attempts suicide inside Circle jail in Odisha

A murder convict serving life term allegedly attempted suicide inside the Circle jail here today, police said.
The convict, a resident of Koraput, tried to hang himself from a window grill in the prison ward, the police said.
He was admitted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital here, said Senior Jail Superintendent B B Patnaik.
The condition of the convict, who was earlier in Koraput jail, is stated to be good, he said.
The convict has already spent around 10 years in jail, he said.
