Copper, nickel ease on sluggish demand

Prices of copper and nickel today softened at the local non-ferrous base metals market today due to sluggish demand from consuming industries.
Traders said sluggish demand from consuming industries mainly weighed on select base metal prices.
Copper mixed scrap and nickel (4x4) shed Rs 2 each at Rs 436 and Rs 1,057-1,058 per kg respectively.
The following were today's metal rates per kg:
Zinc ingot 117-123, nickel plate (4x4) 1,057-1,058 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 436, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 134, lead imported 132, aluminium ingots 146, Aluminium sheet cutting 147, aluminium wire scrap 149 and aluminium utensils scrap 146.
