Copper, nickel remain up on rising demand

Copper and nickel prices strengthened by up to Rs 3 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today on increased demand from consuming industries.
Traders said pick up in demand from consuming industries mainly kept copper and nickel prices higher.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel plate (4x4) advanced by Rs 2 and Rs 3 to Rs 367 and Rs 840-845 per kg, respectively.
Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 94-100, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 840-845, gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 367, chadri deshi Rs 295.
Lead ingot Rs 70, lead imported Rs 76, aluminium ingots Rs 155, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 151, aluminium wire scrap Rs 151 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 149.
