Copper remains weak on subdued demand, global cues

Copper prices remained weak and prices shed another 3 per kg at the local non-ferrous metals market today on subdued demand from consuming industries amid a weak global trend.
Traders said sentiment in copper remained bearish after the metal fell to nearly 12-week low in global markets ahead of industrial output data from China, the biggest consumer of base metals.
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months was little changed at USD 6,840 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap fell further by Rs 3 to 433 per kg.
Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot 114-120, Nickel plate (4x4) 1,100-1,106, Gun metal scrap 227, Bell metal scrap 229, Copper mixed scrap 433, Chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 111, Lead imported 109, Aluminium ingots 166, Aluminium sheet cutting 167, Aluminium wire scrap 169 and Aluminium utensils scrap 166.
