Copra prices fall on muted demand

In restricted activities, copra prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale dry fruits market today owing to slackened demand.
Marketmen said easing demand from retailers against sufficient stocks position mainly weighed on copra prices.
In the national capital, copra declined by Rs 100 to Rs 8,600-10,900 per quintal.
Following are today's quotations (per 40 kgs):
Almond (California) Rs 16,200-16,600, Almond(Gurbandi- new) Rs 12,200-12,300, Almond (Girdhi) Rs 5,600-5,700; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-23,000.
Chilgoza (Roasted-new) (1 kg) Rs 2,650-2,850
