Copra prices recoup on fresh demand

Copra prices recouped at the spices market here today following fresh demand from stockists and retailers amid good export offtake.
Meanwhile, rest of the spices ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying activities.
Copra Rajapur rose by Rs 300 per quintal to Rs 10,800 from last Saturday's level of Rs 10,500.
Copra edible climbed by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 9,800 compared to Rs 9,600 last Saturday.
Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode moved up by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 9,400 and Rs 9,300 as against Rs 9,300 and Rs 9,200, respectively.
Following are today's closing rates (in Rs) with previous rates in brackets:
Black pepper (per kg) 540/630 (540/630), ginger unbleached (per kg) 120 (120), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 9,400 (9,300), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 9,300 (9,200), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 10,800 and Copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 9,800 (9,600).
