Shehzad Azeem, the chairman of the district legal services, Rajouri, constituted the core group on the direction of the executive chairman of the state legal services authority, Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar, an official spokesperson said.
It will be headed by the chief judicial magistrate for better coordination with the district administration for timely evacuation of the victims of cross border firing, he said.
A temporary legal-aid clinic was also opened in the relief camps by the core group for any kind of legal service required by people living in the camps, the spokesperson said, adding that the clinic would be manned by para-legal volunteers -- a person trained in subsidiary legal matters, but not fully qualified as a lawyer.
