Actor Corey Sligh, who played a waiter and bartender on 'The Young and the Restless', has been hospitalised after being beaten by two strangers on Thanksgiving night.
The 27-year-old actor was allegedly hit by car and beaten by two strangers in the parking lot when trying to deliver a Thanksgiving meal to a friend in Los Angeles, reported Ace Showbiz.
He shared a black-and-white photo of him in his hospital bed, wearing a neck brace.
He captioned it, "Hey kids, went to feed some people last night who don't have blessed thanksgivings and along the way got struck by a drunk driver! Have a surgery to go and another couple days in the hospital but should be fine soon! Thankful to still be on this great planet! Love you all!"
Corey and his girlfriend Alisa Berhorst were heading to a Rite-Aid in Los Angeles to deliver a Thanksgiving meal to a friend when they encountered two men speeding in the parking lot and doing donuts.
Alisa said that the two men "almost hit people in the parking lot. They were hitting curbs, and Corey said, 'Please slow down or we're going to call the cops, just go home.' "
The two men then allegedly hit Corey with their car and then got out of the car to beat him up.
Corey, who suffered a broken arm, was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. "I'm thankful he's okay. I'm thankful that we didn't get killed," Alisa.
The two suspects have been arrested by cops. Police said that the two suspects fled the scene but later crashed their car and were tracked down by a witness.
