Coriander and jeera prices fell up to Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today owing to subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks.
Weakening trend in futures market also put pressure on the select spice prices.
Coriander prices fell by Rs 200 to Rs 6,300-11,300 per quintal.
Jeera common and best quality also declined by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 12,200-12,700 and Rs 16,200-16,500 per quintal.
Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against adequate stocks mainly pulled down coriander and jeera prices on the wholesale kirana market here.
The following are today's quotations per quintal:
Ajwain 13,000-18,500, black pepper (per kg) 550-680, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,000-1,100 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,150-1,300.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 680-780, cardamom (colour robin) 630-730, cardamom bold 680-730, cardamom extra (bold) 830-930 and cloves (kg) 850-900.
