Cottonseed oil cake prices went down by Rs 22.50 to Rs 1,531 per quintal in futures trade today as traders preferred to book profits at prevailing levels dampened by subdued physical markets.
Market players mentioned the downfall in cottonseed oil cake futures prices to ample stocks positions on constant supplies amid slackness in demand for animal feed makers in the spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, cottonseed oil cake delivery for July slid by Rs 22.50, or 1.45 per cent, to Rs 1,531 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,17,950 lots.
