Cottonseed oil cake prices lifted higher by Rs 12.50 to Rs 1,483 per quintal in futures trade today on accumulated of holdings in anticipation with upbeat physical markets sentiment.
Market players said creating holdings by the operators bolstered by lower ready stocks along with pick up in demand for animal feed makers in spot markets attributed to the up trend in cottonseed oil cake futures prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake delivery for the May contracts rose by Rs 12.50, or 0.85 per cent, to Rs 1,483 per quintal, with an open interest of 40,320 lots.
Likewise, the delivery of the April contracts advanced, Rs 12 or 0.83 per cent, to Rs 1,457 per quintal, with the business turnover of 1,52,980 lots.
