Cottonseed oil cake prices were up by Rs 47.5 to Rs 2,185 per quintal in futures trade on Monday after participants accumulated positions on spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for delivery in December traded higher by Rs 47.5, or 2.22 per cent, to Rs 2,185 per quintal in an open interest of 44,650 lots.
Similarly, cottonseed oil cake for delivery in January next year traded higher by Rs 36.5, 1.75 per cent, to Rs 2,122 per quintal in an open interest of lots of 17,680.
Marketmen said raising of positions by participants amid a rising demand from cattle feed makers mainly influenced prices here.
