Pawan Kumar (27) and his wife Bhavana (25) yesterday consumed poison following financial problems. Both were rushed to the district hospital where Bhavana was declared brought dead while Pawan died during treatment, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Surendra Singh Yadav said.
"Yesterday morning, Pawan left his three-year-old daughter Sadhana with his brother Uttam in the nearby colony and consumed sulphas tablet along with his wife,"he said.
According to police, the two had a court marriage which Pawan's family rejected. The couple was living in a rented accommodation at Raghubir Colony.
