Police suspect that the three persons, who resided in Nawabpet town of Mahabubnagar, took the extreme step due to financial constraints.
Laxmi Narayana (50), his wife Alivelu (45) and their daughter Supraja allegedly ended their lives by consuming a pesticide at a roadside on the outskirts of Nawabpet town, sub-inspector of police Pravin Kumar told PTI over phone.
"The family was facing financial problems and they had taken some loans. The couple was planning their daughter's marriage," the SI said based on preliminary probe.
Some locals noticed them lying on the roadside this morning. They found the couple to be already dead, Kumar said.
The locals tried to shift Supraja to a hospital but she died on the way, he said.
A case has been registered in this connection, he said.
