Couple hacked to death in UP

A couple were today murdered in their sleep by unidentified persons in Sukhbirpur village, police said here.
Dayaram Sharma (50) and his 40-year-old wife Shanti Devi (40) were hacked to death while they were sleeping in front of their house to beat the heat, they said.
An FIR has been registered and investigation is underway in the case, police added.
