Pratap Chandra (40) and his wife Savitri (38) had an on-spot death in the mishap that took place last night on Lucknow-Faizabad highway, police said.
Their son Shikhar was seriously injured and was rushed to hospital, they said, adding that his condition was stated to be stable.
A case has been registered and further investigations are on, police added.
