Couple robbed on highway near Rajamahendravaram

A group of unidentified persons attacked and robbed a couple on the national highway near Diwanchervu village near here last night, police said.
The incident took place when Ganta Satyanarayana and his wife Subbalaxmi were returning on motorcycle after attending a wedding at Diwanchervu.
The robbers snatched the gold jewellery Subbalaxmi was wearing and fled.
The couple also suffered injuries as they fell from the motorcycle. Subbalaxmi was hospitalised with head injuries.
Bommuru police are conducting further probe.
